Main characteristics
FONDO PRIMO is a water-dilutable primer for preparing the base before applying FRATELLI decorative paints and plasters. The primer is applicable for both internal and external surfaces, and is suitable for various construction bases, such as gypsum and cement plasters, lime plasters and others. FONDO PRIMO is available in white colour as well as pre-tinted to match the subsequent coating colour.
Product properties
FONDO PRIMO is factory prepared and tinted, which guarantees consistency of the quality and the colour. The primer colour should match the one of the decorative coating, that will be applied.
FONDO PRIMO is water-soluble, harmless and do not contain solvents, volatile organic compounds and chemical ingredients hazardous to health and the environment.
The primer is designed for interior and exterior application. It can be applied on any wall with gypsum plaster, as well as on plasterboard and fibreboard.
Before using FONDO PRIMO, the content should be mixed with mechanical stirrer, diluting it with up to 10-15% water. The application should be done in one or two even layers with smooth movements, using a short-haired paint roller.
FONDO PRIMO have excellent coverage and very short drying times. One litter of the primer is enough for about 8-10 m2, depending on the water-absorbing characteristics of the base. The drying time of the applied layer is about 6 hours.
